Netherlands born Caroline is now living in Vienna and teaching at
the Conservatory in Klagenfurt, Carinthia, after finishing studies
at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague.
She is touring with various bands
(Glenn Miller Orchestrea, Stefan Thaler Quartett...), Concerts with:
Boy Bradman Big Band, Big Band of the Royal Conservatory Den Haag
under Jerry van Rooijen and Henk Meutgeert. Mariniers Kapel Big Band
Rotterdam, Glenn Miller Orchestra, Germany. With the Caroline de
Rooij Quintett: Concerts in Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Belgium and
the Netherlands. Jazzfestivals: North Sea, Hilversum, Breda.
Various studio-productions, amongst
others for Radio Agora, Klagenfurt. 2000 her debut-CD “River”,
produced by Hein Van de Geyn. Awards: Nov. 2001 final round “Ann
Burton Award” at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. Sept. 2001: 2.
prize at the Jazz festival Hilversum Feb. 2001: finalist at the
”Nederlands Jazzvocalisten concours” july 2007 CD ;Little Circus
